Who can get waxed?
Anybody can get waxed! However, there are some contraindications (medical or physical conditions that would be a reason you cannot have a service done) that would not make you a good candidate for waxing. A couple of examples would be any prescription acne medication (Acutane, Isotretinoin) or over the counter retinols. These products are essentially methods of exfoliation, as is waxing. When you wax skin that is exfoliated, your skin will lift during a service. Even steroid creams to help treat eczema or psoriasis can thin the skin and cause skin lifting. If you are on any prescription medications and have concerns with getting a wax, please reach out to your dermatologist.

How long does my hair have to be?
The general rule of thumb is that your hair should be, at minimum, the length of a grain of rice. In more technical terms, ¾”.

Will my hair grow back thicker?
Nope! Waxing actually damages the hair follicle, resulting in thinner hairs. Over time, your hair will grow less and less.

Can I get waxed before a special occasion?
Whether you have a vacation, wedding, or pool party coming up, it really is best to get waxed a couple of days prior to your event. Freshly waxed skin needs time to heal. Being exposed to the sun, being in a wet swim suit, or in tight clothing can really irritate your skin and cause adverse reactions. We would recommend getting waxed at least two days before an event.

Can I get waxed during my cycle?
Totally! We just ask that you put in a fresh tampon before your appointment.

What is your cancellation/no show policy?
We understand that sometimes life happens, requiring you to cancel your appointment last minute. Cancelling an appointment with more than 3 hours notice will not result in any penalties.

Cancellation Policy: 3 cancellations (3 hours notice or less) will result in 50% nonrefundable deposit for future  appointments.

No-Show Policy: 1 No Show (“no show” meaning you do not show up to your appointment without any notice OR we follow up after your grace period and you tell me you’re not coming in) will result in 50% nonrefundable deposit for all future appointments.

What is your late policy?

You have an 8 minute grace period. This means you need to physically be in the studio by the grace period.

After your grace period, your appointment is subject to late fees and/or cancellation.

The sooner you let us know that you are running late, the better we can accommodate you.
